We want to inform you about a major legal case involving Delta Dental, a provider many of our members use.
A federal judge in Chicago has denied class certification in a $13 billion antitrust lawsuit brought by dentist against Delta Dental. The suit alleged that Delta Dental and affiliates attempted to divide the market and keep reimbursement rates down for dental providers worldwide.
The judge ruled that dentists didn't show uniform harm across the group, meaning the case can't go forward as a class action. Individual and smaller groups may still pursue claims.
