The Board of Directors is the governing body of California State Retirees. It includes 11 elected representatives—four statewide officers and seven district directors.
Each member of the Board of Directors represents all CSR members, not just members in their respective district.
Board members work together to promote CSR’s long-term success and sustainability. The CSR Board oversees strategic direction and planning, communicates with stakeholders, establishes governance policies, and ensures the organization’s financial health.
Board members meet regularly to discuss important topics such as legislation, membership recruitment, collaboration with other retiree organizations, and political action. They uphold fiduciary responsibilities and act in CSR’s best interest.
Statewide officers include the president, executive vice president, vice president, and chief financial officer. Delegates elect statewide officers at the CSR Delegate Assembly.
Members from each of CSR’s seven districts elect one member to represent them as district director.
Each Board member serves a term of three years.
