Posted 2 years 181 days ago ago by Mark DeVaughn

All voted ballots will be tabulated on Friday, October 1, for the Member-at-Large seats on the CalPERS Board of Administration.

Public viewing of the electronic tabulation process will take place at 9 a.m., at the Embassy Suites, Stagecoach Room, 100 Capitol Mall, Sacramento CA 95814.

The election is for two Member-at-Large seats on the CalPERS Board of Administration.

Nominees for Position A are incumbent David Miller and challenger Tiffany Emon-Moran. Position B nominees are incumbent Margaret Brown and challenger Jose Luis Pacheco. The winner is expected to be announced later the same day.

Election results are considered unofficial until formal certification by the California Secretary of State, which is expected to occur in or around November.

The 13-member CalPERS Board of Administration sets policy for retirement and health benefits on behalf of California public employers, and their active and retired employees.

The board also oversees asset allocation of the pension fund's investments. Under the California Constitution, the CalPERS Board has exclusive authority to administer the CalPERS Fund.
