Do you want to represent other state retirees like yourself?

Eligible members who want to represent and serve CSR members on the Board of Directors must file their Candidate Filing Form for one of two open seats by 5 p.m. Nov. 17 (Monday).

Ballots will be mailed to eligible voters by Dec. 1 (Monday), 2014 and must be returned by Jan. 2 (Friday), 2015. Only members of California State Retirees in good standing are eligible to vote. 

The following district directors will end their three-year terms at the first California State Retirees Board of Directors meeting in February 2014.

District D Director – Chapters 8, 13, 14 and 19 in the counties of Butte, Del Norte, Glenn, Humboldt, Lake Lassen, Plumas, Mendocino, Modoc, Shasta, Siskiyou, Tehama and Trinity.

District E Director – Chapters 2, 15 and 165 in the counties of Alpine, Colusa, El Dorado, Nevada, Placer, Sacramento, Sierra Sutter, Yolo and Yuba.

Eligible candidates must reside within the district holding the election and in a chapter assigned to the district.

District directors are elected by chapter members within their respective districts.

The CSR Board of Directors, which is the governing body of California State Retirees, meets three times a year at locations throughout the state. Among the board members’ duties are attending three board meetings a year, helping to coordinate chapter activities, helping chapter presidents and members understand the issues affecting member welfare, participating in political action and providing overall leadership.
